Kristy grew up in a small town in Northern Ontario surrounded by an assortment of family pets and wildlife. While growing up, she had a passion for animals and science so a career as a registered veterinary technician always made sense. She graduated from the veterinary technician program at Sheridan College in 2015 with high honours and became registered shortly thereafter. Kristy has worked in multiple clinics across the GTA over the last 10+ years and has experience with
dogs, cats, and exotics (including guinea pigs, hedgehogs, snakes, rats, sugar gliders, birds, etc!) Kristy started at Yonge Sheppard Animal Hospital in 2021 and since become the lead registered
veterinary technician. 

At work, Kristy can often be found in front of the microscope doing cytology or in the dental suite performing a dental prophylaxis though her real passion is phlebotomy. Kristy currently lives in North York with her partner and their senior black cat, Salem, and middle-aged guinea pig, Pumbaa.
