Yonge Sheppard Animal Hospital, or lovingly referred to as YSAH (which rhymes with yee-haw!) started off as a dream: to have a comfortable and fun atmosphere in which animals may grow and heal from illness.
This dream emerged from three Toronto based Veterinarians; Claire Beauchamp, Donna Chui and Larry Tung. Our founding mothers (and father) had shared experiences of the internal conflict of veterinary medicine. They often felt a disconnect between their true personalities and work expectations. The three vets dreamed to build a hospital where everyone can be their true selves: veterinarians, team members and clients. They envisioned a place where ego would not get in the way of proper patient care.
In 2016 the Yonge Sheppard Animal Hospital was born, with 5 Core Values to which we stand by every day:
