Come check out our hospital! Meet Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald, our clinic cat, and the VP of Patient Experience. See where our team puts their 100% to providing care for and treating your pet.
Explore our clinic's selection of veterinary and every-day diets for your furry friend. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, just ask the front desk team and they can help see if we can order your product in, or you can order online at www.myvetstore.ca/ysah.
We also stock puppy/kitten diets, dental, and gastrointestinal diets. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, the front desk team is able to help, or you can order online at www.myvetstore.ca/ysah.
In addition to dry and canned diets, we also stock treats, pet wipes, eye and ear cleaners, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and supplements and some toys for your pets needs. While we can’t stock everything due to space limitations, clients can view what’s available to order online at www.myvetstore.ca/ysah.
Kevin checks the accuracy of the dog scale in our front lobby. 7kg? That doesn’t seem right… (Don’t worry, we have smaller scales in the exam rooms for our feline friends).
As the Vice President of Patient Experience, Kevin demonstrates what patients can expect when they’re at the Yonge Sheppard Animal Hospital. He has been escorted into his exam room, and waits for his appointment to begin. His weight has been taken, and he now waits to speak with his nurse and doctor about the reason for his appointment - his weight loss program. He is not a fan.
Kevin inspects the clinic's x-ray room, which also houses its ultrasound machine.
Kevin takes his job as VP of Patient Experience very seriously. He tests the post-operative therapeutic laser for patient quality assurance, and makes sure all staff are trained to use it safely.
Kevin has his own home in the clinic, but he’ll sometimes do random inspections of the kennels where patients may sometimes stay if they’re at the clinic for a drop-off or a day procedure. He likes to keep the ACAs on their toes, and had some notes after this visit. Kevin’s notes: thicker blanket, more catnip, more treats.
